• Enlightened Pregnancy is a magical, powerful book for anyone with a loved one who is expecting or has recently had a baby! I read this while my sister was pregnant with her first child. It provided beautiful meditations and exercises to prepare for the birth, and to practice afterwards. I strongly believe that the wonderful connection I now have with my niece--and perhaps even some of her bright and happy disposition--can be attributed to the practices I found in this book.
  
  I liked it so much I shared it with a friend who was also expecting. She had a very similar and even more powerful experience and was extremely grateful to have been able to read and follow the practices from Enlightened Pregnancy before the birth of her first child.
  
  Anyone who has experience with spiritual dimensions of life will value this book greatly.
• As a grandmother, I recommend this book to anyone with a baby coming into their life. This book helps people involved in a pregnancy — mothers, fathers, grandparents, friends — to develop ways to support the miracle of a new life, a fresh start, with calm and respect for the journey. This is one of the most important things we can do to help the little newcomer begin life well.
• Loved the interactive exercises. The poems could have been more positive affirmations. I'm unsure if the recitations are actual translations from the Tibetan book of life and death but it seemed more of the writers own poems. I'd still recommend it loved the shrine building.

• it is a bit of a weird book. I read all of it. I don't get the prayers in it. They are hard to understand and say. I am confused on how to use this book.
• This is a guide for mothers to be wanting to create a spiritual connection with their unborn child and the premise is such acts of meditation, verses and other acts of mindfulness set the tone for their child to have kind, joyful, peaceful, and compassionate personality traits.
  
  This is a very deep school of religious thought and if you are already familiar with Eastern traditions and beliefs you already have the right foundation for use with this book. However the author mentions that the mother does not have to be a practitioner of anything, just understands the fundamentals of Buddhism and its emphasis on letting go of material excess, learning compassion, and so forth.
  
  Different verses and meditations are provided throughout.
  
  I wish more people, parents or not, could embrace the ideals of this religion, as I think the world could be a much better, more peaceful place!
• I bought this for my friend and his girlfriend. They are more spiritual than religious, and they love this book. They love the suggestions on how to talk with their unborn baby.
• I have read a lot of Buddhist philosophy including the the Tibetan Book of the Dead and so I was interested in “Enlightened Pregnancy.” The premise of the book seemed novel. It has a very interesting perspective, concentrating only on the final stage before the spirit is reborn. The poems in this book were inspiring and uplifting and the meditations insightful. I think that this would be a wonderful guide to any expecting mother who valued spirituality.
