"The version I got is slightly smaller and lighter than the one I had seen before. It seems they decided to make the pages smaller and thinner. That is not bad at all, on the contrary, it makes the book easier to carry which was already pocket size. I don't think this book is enough to learn grammar though, I think it is best suited for easy reference. If you are serious about learning Spanish grammar, get the Nueva gramatica de la lengua espanola. Manual."

• If you have an advanced knowledge to be able to read completely in Spanish, do not doubt to buy this book to learn to speak and write proper Spanish. The new version of the Spanish Grammar published by the Royal Spanish Academy is a brief version of the more extended MANUAL. For those of you who do not know it, the RAE - as it is commonly known in Spain and the Spanish American countries - is the institution founded in 1713 on the initiative of Juan Manuel Fernández Pacheco, Marquis of Villena, and its main mission is to ensure that the changes the Spanish language experience in its constant adaptation to the needs of its speakers, do not break the essential unity that keeps all the Hispanic world. The institution is regarded as the ultimate authority in establishing the rules that regulate the orthography and grammar of the Spanish language from the point of view of an educated speaker.
  
  If you have a good knowledge of Spanish, do not buy a bilingual grammar, buy this one. If you think you need a bilingual book, my advice is A Reference New Grammar of Modern Spanish by John Butt and Carmen Benjamin. They follow the RAE rules and recommendations in their book.
• Encuentro que este material es la excelencia del idioma español. No es un libro de consulta como el diccionario de la Real Academia de la Lengua Española. Es un libro para corregir todos los aspectos del idioma que se van descuidando con el tiempo y aprender las nuevas formas del uso marcadas por el paso del tiempo de acuerdo con la geografía donde se habla el mismo. Al principio, quien no está en constante acercamiento al estudio del idioma puede parecerle muy de eruditos, y lo es, pero a medida que se avanza en el texto, se va haciendo familiar y fácil de procesar. Felicito a la academia por este aporte a nuestra cultura y recomiendo también adquirir "La Nueva Gramática de la Lengua española Fonética Y Fonología" y "Ortografía Básica de la Lengua española" . Los dos impresos por la Real Academia Española.

• Being a native spanish pseaker and a teacher of the language I pride myself in speaking the language correctly. This grammar book is excellent and will be a good reference aid for advanced and beginners alike.
• Difficult to understand at times even if your a native spanish speaker.
• Este librito es perfecto para tener a la mano todas las reglas del español. Desde ortografía básica hasta la más compleja, conjunciones verbales y tipos de oraciones. Lo recomiendo para estudiantes, maestros y profesores.
