As the story starts to spin it’s tell you become lost in a world of magic and complex mysteries. Heck let me just say this, TDWB, is one hell of an amazing read. It’s steamy, it sizzles - and there are DRAGONS!!!!!

Poor Misty comes home to find the head of the Dragon warrior’s in her room, looking at her computer. Ever since her roommate married the Dragon King things have definitely become interesting. The Friday night game between friends/roommates of Dungeons and Dragons has also changed a bit. The roar from the Warrior about what Misty has been looking up online leads to a conversation, which leads into a lot more. Then he is gone, but Misty is left with a reminder of him.
The head of the Dragon King’s Warriors is all Volcant lives for. He is watching over the place the King’s mate lives at when in this realm. Doing his job leads him to have to go between his world and this world. Meeting the roommate of his King’s mate is a bonus for Volcant. He is drawn to her. But he must go back to his world now.
When a warning comes in, Volcant is in full warrior mode. He leaps into the transport hole before his assistant gives her full warning. When he lands on the other world something is very wrong. He is unable to fight whatever this power is. He spots a woman with a baby, he thinks he recognizes her, but the spell he is under is not allowing clear thoughts. He grabs this woman and the child and takes off. This is the enemy, she is an assassin against his King and his clan.
Misty doesn’t understand what is happening. The way Volcant is talking to her, the taking her without her permission, there is something wrong. When they get to the hotel things are said, secrets are told, and the spell Volcant is under dissipates. With the spell not completely out of his system there is some bizarre things running through his head, and he acts out. All the while Misty tries to understand what is happening. That understanding happens to come to life as Volcant’s assistant. The spell is broken, the truth is revealed. Misty is told about the portals, the aging in the different worlds. Her head is spinning with everything.
Volcant needs to protect what is his and sends Misty and the baby away so he fight. But things go seriously wrong, it will take the King and other warriors enter the picture to help. Things turn to black for Volcant when an injury takes him. When he awakens, he is on his world and healing. His dragon’s fire is burning very strong again.
Once he is healing well and stronger does he visit Misty and the baby. There isn’t much to prevent Volcant and Misty from really heating things up and they even bring some little surprises into their happily ever after too. - This is a wow book! This first in the series really must be read to fully understand some of what's going on here but this on can be enjoyed by itself in my opinion. In this book you have Volcant who is a Dragon version of a Playboy that just so happens to get himself in a little bit of trouble that he was not expecting. Well jumping through a portal into the past some trouble happens and he goes missing for over a year and when he returns his memory is not what it should be and things don't seem to be right. Can a woman he spent one night with over a year ago help him remember what's going on before he causes more trouble then good. Misty's life had been turned upside down after her one night stand with the Dragon shifter and now she had a baby girl that was her everything. People kept saying he had gone missing but she wanted to believe the worst that is In till he comes walking out of the woods calling her an assassin and attacking her and taking her daughter and saying it is the princess that was kidnapped his brain and thoughts seem to be scrambled and now she has to try to help him before it is too late. Read this story and see if Misty can help Volcant figure out what happened to him in the portal and if there is a new threat to the king and queen and their baby. And see if these two might have a chance at true love.

Oh what a fantastic series. Loved book 1 about King Indulf and meeting his now Queen Anna but this gets even better, even hotter in more ways than one. Anna’s friend Misty is shocked to find a strange man in her flat...the Kings guard Volcant......now the fun begins. An older man/dragon, Volcant still oozes charm, charisma and lots of sex appeal, no wonder Misty can’t say no to him. That’s all it takes, one night of passion and the result...the cutest little baby ever. Problem is Volcant disappears and Misty has to raise the baby alone.
The thing with time travel, you never know who will appear in your time and Misty is surprised to see Volcant but she has a big secret. Misty has a hard job of trying to convince Volcant who she is, keep her passions at bay for him but knows she has to reveal her big secret. Lots of secrets, betrayals, but just love the dragon fights...so graphic and the description of the dragons is so realistic. All in all, love has a way of resurfacing amongst all the chaos. Another brilliant story, well worth the read. Would love more in this series.
